Telemark is the oldest ski technique: A long time ago in a small town called Morgedal in the Telemarkland in Norway, people used to organise some ski races. These races were an occasion for the young men, to improve their capability to move them on the two peaces of wood, and all that certainly was just to impress the young ladies.
In the earlier days the modern telemark has been developed by Americans and has become a modern ski discipline.
